英语故事
The wise old owl, Barnaby, surveyed his unanimously decided kingdom. All the animals agreed that he was the best leader. Today, he felt a bit somber, not because of any real problem, but because he had spent the morning drawing fictitious creatures in his notebook. He'd even drawn a tree with ornamental fruit that tasted like sunshine. His friend, a blunt badger named Beatrice, waddled up. "What's with the long face, Barnaby?" she asked. Barnaby sighed, "I'm just pondering existence, Beatrice. Do we give credence to dreams, or only to what we can touch?" Beatrice, never one for deep thoughts, simply nudged a fallen leaf with her nose. "This leaf is real, Barnaby. Dreams are nice, but reality feeds us." Barnaby chuckled, the somber mood lifting. Perhaps Beatrice, in her blunt way, was right. Some things were just fun to doodle about, even if they weren't real.
